Chinese military officials are demonstrating a range of drones and other aerial vehicles at a recent trade show. They include the CH-805 training helicopter, the concept CK-20 stealth-targeting drone and the SW-6 small "marsupial drone. Both drones can be used for reconnaissance purposes. SW-6 is also thought to be a prime candidate for China's drone "swarm", which involves hundreds linked together drones.

Caihong drones debut

Chinese military officials just deployed eight Wing Loong 2 long-endurance medium-altitude drones and Caihong 5, a pair of Wing Loong 2, at a mixed military-civilian aircraft in western China. This deployment marks the first known major deployment of the Chinese drones. These drones look similar to the U.S. MQ-9 Reaper, and could be used as future military assets. Here's a close-up look at Caihong 5.

China and Islamic countries have been friends for many years and have enjoyed successful win-win collaboration. Cooperation between the two countries has led to a new model for peaceful coexistence of cultures from different backgrounds. Chinese Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation now has its first Middle East plant to produce state-owned drones. This factory will produce the CH-4 drones and the associated equipment, and will improve after-sales service to the Middle East.

Yilong/Wing Loong LE380 sensor turret

The Wing Loong I, which was the first variant in the Wing Loong series, flew its maiden flights in October 2007. The device can transport up to four kg of payload. It can also reach speeds of up to 200 km. Its sensors are visible from the nose and can be targeted using a sensor turbine.

The Wing Loong can be equipped with a camera as well as a sensor turbine. Its wing-shaped shape and three-bladed propeller allows it to fly at speeds in excess of 280km/h. It can also climb to a maximum height of five km. The Yilong can carry out its mission for 20 hours, without needing to refuel. The Yilong can transmit data from 200km away. It has a 600m take-off roll distance and an 800m landing roll distance.
